Alagadi Turtle Beach
Two hotel-free sandy beaches where loggerhead and rare green turtles nest every summer.

Alagadi is a protected area east of Kyrenia. From early summer turtles come ashore at night; hatchlings emerge from July to September.
Nests are marked with cages and monitored by a conservation project that has worked here since the 1990s.
By day it is simply a beautiful wild beach with clear water.
Tips
- During nesting season the beach is closed at night.
- No umbrellas next to marked nests.
- Hardly any shade — bring an umbrella and water.
