St Barnabas Monastery
A monastery by the tomb of the Apostle Barnabas, founder of the Church of Cyprus — now an icon and archaeology museum.

Barnabas was born in Cyprus and preached here with Paul. Tradition says his relics were found on this spot in the 5th century.
The present church dates from the 18th century and houses icons; the former cells hold finds from Salamis.
A few hundred metres away is the small tomb chapel.
