Karmi Village
A mountain village of white houses, bougainvillea and sea views — the quietest spot near Kyrenia.
Karmi (Karaman in Turkish) sits on the slope above the coast. Its old stone houses were mostly restored by foreign residents who fell in love with the place.
Narrow lanes, flowers, a small church and a couple of terrace restaurants. Bronze Age tombs lie in the woods nearby.
Hiking trails along the ridge start here — best in spring with orchids and poppies.
Tips
- Park at the village entrance.
- Book a table for dinner in season.
- In spring, hike before the heat.
